The game is set on Pandora's moon, Elpis, and follows a group of four Vault Hunters as they attempt to take down Handsome Jack, the main antagonist of Borderlands 2. The game features four new Vault Hunters – Athena, Wilhelm, Nisha and Claptrap – and introduces a new cast of characters and a new environment, providing a unique experience for players. In addition to the new characters and environment, the game also features a new weapons system, which allows players to choose between different weapon classes.
